My 2004 W211 saloon has a boot handle that requires replacement as the return spring has failed on it. I've removed it ready to buy a replacement and cannot see how you remove the lock barrel off it to swap over to the replacement handle. Searched usual avenues but have drawn a blank. Anyone...

Apologies if some people have taken my responses as grateful, far from it and thanks for everyone's help so far but my post has been turned from a question into a wanted post in the classified section! Just want to know if a non-memory door mirror will be fully fully functional on a memory...

Question still is if a complete mirror from a non-memory seated W211 will fit a memory seated variant? Can anyone confirm or deny this?

Problem is if I'm buying a second hand mirror off an unknown vehicle that's kind of difficult!

Need a new complete door mirror for 2004 W211 after it was ruined by a passing motorist :( Would any off an W211 fit or would I need to be one with memory seats also as I believe (though may be wrong) that the mirror motors are different if you have the memory option?

It was a Valeo, had to remove it to confirm though as the branding is on the side of ymtge sticker at the top fades: Now replaced with a Nissens one!

Car is a W211 E55, guess I'd be wise to change it then?
