If you want to find out how much electric only range you have got you will need to put the car in e-mode, not hybrid, as this will prevent the car from using the internal combustion engine unless you accelerate hard. Then put the dash display onto the screen that shows your % battery and watch...

Was the trip in E-mode? If the battery was at 100% when you left at this time of year I would say to me 5 miles with 1 left sounds about right..... Probably not what you wanted to hear.

Well, my brief encounter with the 350e is due to come to an end in the next couple of weeks as I am going for an e-golf and going fully electric. I still think the 350e is a great car, but it is a poor hybrid unless you are prepared to charge very regularly and most of your journeys are very...

Thanks to a short commute and city living I'm now averaging over 99.9mpg over 2000 miles. Pretty good going but I was wondering if there is anywhere the mpg is recorded above 99.9? The app and screen on the car both appear top out at that.

Still enjoying my 350e ownership and looking ahead a few months at the options for winter or all season tyres. Anyone got any advice? I'm on the 17" standard wheels.

I've had my 350e about 6 weeks now and although it would be good to have more range on battery I am really happy with it. The performance of ice and electric combined is fantastic. The quality of build and ride is brilliant. I can do the majority of my journeys on battery as I live in a city and...

From a 10% charge to 100% based on what my podpoint app tells me it takes about 5.2 kWh and I'm assuming thats not allowing for losses. Assuming the 10% as above at the moment I'm getting about 10 miles on about 4.7 kWh. Herder - looks like you may have slightly more capacity left than mine...

Maybe my calculations are off but I'm seeing from the 350e in the real world about 2 miles per kWh and that's driving very conservatively and I know it will be a lot less in winter. Seeing real world reports of 4 miles per kWh for the Model 3 still seems a massive difference. I still really...

I've come to the conclusion with a 350e that public charging isn't worth the hassle or cost unless its free. Efficiency is actually quite an important part of the overall picture when a Tesla model 3 can do about 300 miles on 70 kWh but the Merc only about 10 on 5 kWh (4.3 miles per kWh c/w 2...

One thing that has struck me with the 350e is how inefficient it is on electric compared with pure EV's. Tesla M3 almost achieves twice the range per kWh of the 350e as far as I can tell. Fully understand the 350e will be less aerodynamic and heavier but surprised by that significant a difference.

Got my podpoint installed yesterday - so nice not to have to hang a cable out of the window to charge! From 9% to 100% took about 4.8 kWh. From this I reckon I get about 10 miles range so cost per mile about 8p on Electric so about half what it would be on petrol/diesel. My commute is about 4.5...

I'm worse than that at the moment - have a socket in the garage conversion near the window so every time I charge it's a case of plug in and open window with cable trailing through window. Can't wait for the wall charger.

Ah, Thanks Dodgy. That makes sense then, I'm charging from the Granny cable until my new wall charger is installed. So once I get 3.6kW charging all I'll need to do is set the departure time actually at when I'm going to leave and it will have the climate set nicely and full battery?

Did 154 miles yesterday starting with only approx 80 % charge and no access to chargers during the day. Drove carefully and achieved 50.4 mpg over that distance so very pleased with that. I'm confused by the pre-entry climate at the moment as I assumed it would not drain the battery if you...

I agree that electric is far more efficient in stop start but I'm guessing using charge mode to get extra electric in the battery if you know you are going to hit traffic would still not be an efficient way of doing things. Also agree it's mad to leave any electric available beyond the approx...
