Was lucky to retire early in May '19, was in aerospace all my work life - from apprentice to senior engineering and project mngmt. Now build or restore old race bikes, that's my passion, mainly anything before mid '80s, but I enjoy good cars. Had all sorts of bikes and cars over >40 years of riding/driving. Raced bikes, mucked about with Formula Ford, Formula VW, karts, trials and MX bikes. Father raced bikes post WW2 and 2 of 3 older brothers are into bikes and cars. Wifey has no interest, but is very tolerant of my whims, and engineering passions.
