Just AMG Line.
When I got the car 2nd hand the wheels were painted, and the refurber says all wheels like this were originally diamond cut, whereas I was wondering if there was a point in time when this wasn't true - i.e. before 2018 they were all painted or something and diamond cut as...
Wolverhampton. Just deciding whether to refurb the 19s or sell them as they are now.
Was wondering about selling them individually as 2 of the 4 have welds, but I guess that wouldn't work if they're painted and everyone else needs a single wheel to be diamond cut to match. I'll probably sell...
Yeah, that's partly why I'm asking. Diamond cut looks nice, but from what I hear they need refurbing after a couple years... Seems a strange decision if that's the default manufacturer option?
Went to get a quote for a single alloy refurbishment the other day, for it to be re-powder coated. Wheel is a 19" AMG from a 2016 CLS.
The guy said that these wheels must have already been refurbished, as they all come out of the factory diamond cut. It's perfectly possible, as the car was 4...
I think I read somewhere that it's a fairly UK thing to still have engine model numbers displayed on the rear of a car, in Germany most owners choose factory badge deletion, is that right?
In that case, maybe the snobbery is worse over there than here? Or is it the opposite, nobody cares at all?
I guess there must still be a lot of snobbery around, because I drive a CLS 220, and I feel very hesitant about writing that here...
I have no doubt that a bigger engine would be even better, but I effing love my car already!
A symptom that preceded this happening was the foot pedal becoming stiff at times, needing a toe under it to pull it back. If this is happening, there is a chance the brake cables may need replacing, as the cause can be corrosion/lack of lubrication inside the plastic sleeves. This would be...
In my experience, you can fix the spring yourself like this, but it will only be a matter of time before it pops out again. Definitely worth a try, but I ended up needing to attend to it every few weeks. Bending the spring helps if you can, but the cause of the problem is worn parts that need...
@KillerHERTZ would you help me out by deleting this image in post #28, as I prefer not to display my number plate. I made a mistake when uploading it...thanks!
Hi, new here! Had my X218 a couple of years though, and generally loving it!
However, I posted a photo of my car that had number plate visible, and can't seem to find an option to edit or delete it - is this possible or am I stuck with it now? Thanks!
