    If problem starts right after you got pipes etc replaced then it should be a minor problem of leaking pipe or clamps not properly installed. Hopefully it is not going to be head gasket

    first thank you grober for your reply. thats the confussion. the compression ratio mentioned is 9.8:1 and there is only one compression ratio for this engine i have seen mentioned everywhere. if there were two ratios then there would be no confussion.

    i have just replaced my mercedes e220 w124 water pump and fan clutch. the engine dont go above 85 degrees but i never see my fan engages at operating temperature. yes the car was runing a little hotter before like at around 90 degrees. but why doesnt the fan engages now when the temperature is...

    i know this is off the topic. but any advice is appreciated. i have a w124 e220 with m111.960 engine. recently i ran a compression test and the figures are 8.5 bars in almost all four cylinders. as the gasket replacement is also due i am thinking if the rings and pistons also need to be changed...
