Got my renewal through from Aviva Zero. Last 12 months £286.62 Renewal £228.59 I'd say that's a result.

Does it matter which oil brand

What I will say about the Lidl pumps is do some prep on the plastic tubes well before you start. They come quite tightly coiled so warm them up and try to get them as straight as you can. Makes life a lot easier.

    M112 rattle?

I'm just chasing my tail with this so I've booked in for an hour of investigation at Europa Mercedes in Sheffield. There are guys there who have worked on these engines since forever so hopefully they'll have some answers.

    M112 rattle?

I'd have to wait until I do another oil change before considering another additive so does anyone else have any input regarding the noise?

    M112 rattle?

Does anyone have any suggestions? I know the video isn't the best but if you turn up the volume you'll hear the rhythmic rattle the engine now makes. Btw, tried a bottle of Liqui Moly Hydraulic Lifter Additive last week but that's made no difference to the noise.

    M112 rattle?

You may or may not know that I have a 2003 W209 CLK 240 with the 2.6 M112. I've owned it since May last year, two owner car and I picked it up with 79k miles and I've since put 6k miles on it. It's had 3 oil changes since I bought it (one on purchase, one after 6 months, one after 12 months) and...

Mercedes Benz W209 CLK 240 for sale £3850

I've very much enjoyed owning this CLK but now it's time to move it on. So many cars, so little time! Low miles (84,291 at time of listing but will rise slightly as it's in daily use), low owners (previous owner had it since 2006) and in very good condition. Drives absolutely spot on and much...

    CC Audio 10 Radio

Hi David. Sorry, not here very often. No problems now. The first head unit I bought from Germany turned out to be faulty, was returned and a replacement sent. Everything works just fine. Occasionally the Bluetooth doesn't connect immediately but a manual connection sorts that. I was refunded...

    New old car

Nice. Spot on. But hey, no point continuing this because the OP is unlikely to come back and tbh I wouldn't blame him after the reaction he got from a few of the "core membership".

    New old car

My dad's first and second Mercedes were a W123 200T and a W201 190E. I remember that radios were options on both.

Assigned a private reg over a private reg.

    Ah, fair enough.

Assigned a private reg over a private reg.

From experience I'd say this is the case. The plate that has been taken off is now the original plate. If the OP takes his new plate off the car will revert to the first "private plate". OP should then be allowed to buy the first plate from DVLA. Not the best solution but there we are. Note...
