    Hi all, I am about to pull take off the top of the dashboard to get at the M2/16 motor which is clicking. When I remove the top dash the passenger airbag has to be disconnected - does this require a reset afterwards with star? thanks

    I disconnected the line to the steering cooler and also sucked out the fluid from the reservoir by turning the steering from left to right. UNLESS there is air still trapped which is causing the problem in your and my situation.

    Doubt the ball joint, as first 30 minutes of driving is easy, as soon as the car is warmed up, the steering stiffens but will self centre slowly.

    Hi, just checked the bolts this evening, they are correctly tightened. On closer inspection the ball joint has no play however the rubber on the bush has a lot of flex that I can twist by hand and reproduce the knocking sound. Conclusion - faulty :-(
