The rolling diameter is the important bit, not width or aspect ratio. The ones fitted are the same diameter front and rear. If you go for a smaller aspect ratio (%) you will have a smaller diameter on front. This may cause abs, tps and cruise control errors.

Yup... saw a manual get a slight parking nudge once. Knocked out of gear and rann down the road. I think its good common sense to always use the parking brake. If you see the bit of metal in an auto in park you willl always use on auto too.

Ive had to fix vibrations from balance BUT also from the front inner rear lower arm bushes getting soft AND from shocks that were not very old but had a valving fault.
Exact same symptoms.
With Merc 07 car im sure the current tyre wear will always make it pull to the left now. I would swap front wheels over and see if it improves.
On my SLK I have directional tyres (Yokos) I swap the tyres off the rims to the opp sides every 10k or so to even out the camber wear.

Did they change the filter in Gear box?
Higher viscosity oil may run even hotter, not an option anyway.
I would have the oil and filter CHANGED out 1st
Also check the rad and bits in front of it for leafs etc.

The paint used on interior parts on R170 SLKs is crap.
You need to touch it up from time to time, see here:
