Morning all. Have now scoured t'internet to see if I can find any hint as to the cause of this, but no joy anywhere so far. If anyone has any bright ideas or experience of a similar problem, all hints and advice would be appreciated. Thanks folks.

The central locking on my 2001 E320 estate is playing up. Seems to lock and unlock OK, but when locked the tailgate can be opened with one squeeze of the handle, setting off the alarm. Is this a problem with the electrics or the lock?

The cruise control on my W210 e320 CDi has started playing up. It will function just fine for a run of 10 or 20 minutes, then it disengages all of it's own accord. If I reset it immediately, all is well for another 5-10 minutes, then it switches off again. This continues at decreasing...

I have a W210 E320CDI. The cruise control has recently started misbehaving: if switches itself off unexpectedly, can be reset but then switches off again. It does this repeatedly, at decreasing intervals, until finally it disengages and refuses to work altogether. Next time out, chances are...

Thermostat changed, problem solved. Running at 80-90C within 10 minutes and toasty and warm too. Thanks to all.

OK, 30 minutes continuous running this morning, 13 miles, temperature never got above 55C or so. Does this confirm it's a thermostat problem?

My W210 E320cdi seems to take ages to warm the cabin on these cold mornings - 15-20 minutes of driving to get it comfortably warm and at least 5-10 minutes to fully clear the screen, even with the heater on full and the fan at full blast. Is this usual or could there be a fault somewhere?

Just had exactly the same issue. It was an injector (£162 plus fitting) and it cured the problem completely. Smoother, much quieter, and marginally better fuel economy too. Adam

My W210 estate has developed very noisy front suspension. When the driver's side front wheel drops into a hole, ripple or even just over a hump (say, a speed hump) there's a pronounced nocking noise and a bump that can (just) be felt in the soles of the feet. Any ideas of a cause? Front coil...

Just picked up the car from BG Griffiths and they did a superb job. One broken coil spring and one corroded one replaced; a faulty injector replaced; 2 new brake hoses and new front suspension bushes. Plus they found a corroded area on the front sub-frame so they cut it out and welded in a new...

In order of asking: Cruise works perfectly. ESP seems fine. What's parameter steering? No, haven't seen your thread, but will look for that now. Adam
