New GLC with factory fitted dashcam.

Whilst comparing the specification of various SUV's I looked through the standard spec for a GLC P Plus and at last MB fit a dashcam to the car. I haven't checked whether it's stand-alone or taken from the forward facing camera , but about time this was offered as std or even an extra.

    Zymol Cleaner Wax

I bought a bottle of Zymol , at least 10 years ago, and used on a dark blue Audi. Had a hell of a job getting a decent finish so it sat in the cupboard for years. Used it on a Polar white MB and it was easy on/easy off and a great finish. It's now down to the last 30mm and I've been looking to...

Warning-passenger airbag enabled- see owners manual.

Picked up my grandson , 12 years old and built like a greyhound, from school last week and he got into the front seat with his schoolbag still on his back. He then removed his bag, the thing weighs a tonne, and put it on the back seat. About 300 meters later the above message flashed up and from...

    I don't believe it ................billhooks

Loaded my kayak on the roof earlier and couldn't quite reach the restraining strap. Opened rear door , stood on the sill and reached over with my right hand whilst my left elbow was pressed against the side of the roof above the rear door. When I got down I noticed a neat 25mm dent where my...

    AVIVA insurance renewal.

I've been with Aviva for about 6 years and my renewal turned up on Saturday. Premium had gone up from £266 to £341 which I thought was a bit much so rang them to ask why the big difference, no reason given. Started looking around for a new quote and tried a new online quote from Aviva which came...

Service today, it should have been so easy!

When I booked my car in for a service today I mentioned that I might have found the source of the rattle in the Pano roof to which the reply was - " I'll make a note of it but won't book it in for diagnostics because they have to lube the roof anyway". Fine I thought. Since they trashed one of...

Working from home and going on holiday abroad ?

Am I turning into Victor Meldrew or not. I appreciate that people are allowed to work from home , but how can they, in all conscience go abroad on holiday and still work from home on their return. Surely working from home was to reduce the chances of catching Covid ?
