Morning, does anyone have any advice or tricks to remove the starter from the CLK 230? removing the bottom bolt looks fine but the top bolt looks a nightmare, do you have to remove the inlet manifold to access it? Dave

could you apply under the freedom of information act for all the paperwork including emails that relate to their dealings with you, you may then be able to see what,s going on?

if you can get it for a decent price you cannot do better than a Star machine, as it will help you find the faulty unit and its location.

My W208 has a broken NS rear ABS reluctor ring, I have ordered a new one and I was wondering which way is easiest to fit it - either remove the drive shaft or remove the hub assembly ? anybody done this on a w202/208 before? Many Thanks

Your best bet is to get someone to read the codes with a Star machine, that should give you a better idea of whats failed

I have tried to get rear mudflaps for my 2001 CLK Cab from everywhere I could think of, but I am still waiting. If anybody comes across a set I would pay a good price for them. I have 2 sets that I think fit the prefacelift model if anybody knows which part number fits which car that would be useful

Pop it on a Star machine and see whats wrong before you change parts, or you may change the EIS and be no further forward

Can anyone tell me if the Canbus system on the facelift W208 is the same as the early W203? I am replacing my Comand with a Clarion NX502 and want to control it from the steering wheel if I can. Thanks Harley Man
