    How acurate is the oil guage method ?

    Friday night, driving from Preston to Mull of Kintyre. Oil warning light comes on M74, Hamilton area, continue to drive for 1 hour plus. Stopped at Gourock before joning the ferry. Done the electronic check. Dial says "Add 2ltrs". I had a one ltr bottle in the boot. Added. Waited 5 mins. Dash...
