bumps or scratches

Thinking of getting a few bits and bobs cleaned up and sprayed. As I park on a road, the last thing I want is for the money to go down the drain by some idiot scratching the car when parking. Was wondering if anyone has thought of anything to help with avoiding such things from happening...
