Hi all,
I'm about to embark on replacing all the front suspension on my S124 300TD.
I need a set of the internal spring compressors to do the job, if anyone has a set they're willing to sell or loan please let me know.

In this post Brexit Britain I find myself in need of an air compressor for inflating tyres at home.
I don't mind paying a premium if need be to buy British but I do want something of good quality.
Are there any British manufacturers I could take a look at?
Thanks.

just saw this offer on amazon[/URL] and was wondering if any one here had used this set as i'am about to change the shocks and springs on my w124.
As I'am a home mechanic it wont get used that often eh maybe only once but you never know right ??
thanks in advance

I have seen two types of spring compressor, a single prong, and a two prong type like this
Halfords | Laser Coil Spring Compressor
upon reading the customer reviews, one reviewer stated that the twin prong type was difficult to use on MB springs due to clearances...
With many forum members asking about spring compressors for Mercedes and the usual response being to use the excellent but very expensive Klann type tool Professional 5 Piece Spring Compressor for Mercedes on eBay (end time 18-Oct-10 19:52:00 BST) I was wondering if anyone has used this...
A friend wants to replace his W124 rear springs. He has read "elsewhere" that they can be changed by the judiscous use of a trolley jack and axle stands. I have told him the ideal tool to do the job is the special KLAN tool or similar. He was quite keen till I told him the price.:eek...
