control or limit

My limiter light on the control stalk wont go off since car was cleaned. I hoped that it would "dry out" & start working. I fixed it with black tape over the light. Unfortunately it seems that "cruise control is not working & its stuck in "limiter" mode. Anyone got any thoughts on what I...
