Hello all, I have aquired a 2.3 Cosworth which I plan to transform into a track car. Can any of you guys point me in the direction of some 190 track build threads? As a new owner and the upcomming project starting soon I will have loads of questions which I hope you will help with much...

I have been trying to sort this engine out for ages now and still no joy with getting it started. The orignal problem was the idle sprocket with no teeth left on it so i changed it and a few other things to try and get it started. (All new) Idle sprocket Timing chain Starter motor cold...

Just had someone round to look at my cosworth everything is is set up and working fine, but for to much fuel being pumped in through the injectors hense it not starting, change of fuel distributor or somthing else aswell as.

Can any body tell me the Valve timing on the cosworth. Does the valves open at 10 degrees before top dead center or 10 degrees after TDC,or any other way. .:confused:

After spending the odd few hours here and there trying to get my cossy started after changing a sprocket which had worn the teeth down to almost nothing, putting the head back on, camshafts back and lined up, timing also set up Had to change starter motor ,(was not spinning quick enough)...

Just watched a programme on sky called wheeler dealer, it featured a 87 2.3 cosworth that they bought for £2700 and fitted new exhaust,tyres,suspension bushes and then sold it for £3500 (breaking even). It was a very straight honest car,,anyway,just out of interest I thought id have a look at...
