fuel or brake

So the old bus passed its MOT, with a couple of advisorys relating to corroded fuel and brake pipes. is this a common issue? I haven't had a look at them myself, so haven't been able to judge how corroded they may be, but is this something I need to be jumping on, or can they show some corrosion...
