I have read various articles on the dates from which various models were galvanised. The problem is being sure for cars 53 - 04 - 54 (possibly) I am thinking of W209 CLK270. Would a facelift model be sure to be a galvanised one? Any reports of rust on this age of car? Thanks Michael

Hi all went to look at second hand Mercs for my folk's this weekend and I asked if all the Mercs have Galvanised body's. I thought my 2004 W203 (post facelift) did. The man said that none of the merc range are galvanised is that correct?:crazy:

I went to repair my car under insurance to a body shop. Although initially in the estimate they stated that the car at the end will be cavity waxed for rust/corrosion, they changed their mind and they decided that it is not required or necessary. Their excuse was that the car is galvanised and...
