lettering

Does anyone know if a template / measuring guide exists for the correct positioning of the lettering on the boot lid of Mercedes cars? I need to attach the lettering to the boot lid on my 2004 S320 CDI.

Thoughts please on changing to black lettering on my Calcite white E63? Also what are people doing to get black lettering? Painting their original ones? Buying from somewhere after market? I don't suppose they are available from Merc in black? Matte black? Gloss black? I await your...

We all know this is illegal, right? A lenient officer might only give a VDRS but it's possible to get up to £1,000 fine and the plate taken off you. On the websites where you order plates, do they make it plainly obvious that anything 'non-standard' is illegal before you press the order button?
