    When did they start to fit particle filters

    Can anyone tell me when MB started to fit particle filters to the C Class? I need a diesel automatic without a particle filter. (Lots of short local journeys). My 2007 A180 CDi is such a car, but my wife wants something more comfortable. Did the the early W204s C200/220 CDi do wothout one?

    Two months ago I took delivery of a new W204 C320CDi Elegance which I am delighted with. But the handbook mentions the different oil to be used for cars with or without a "diesel particle filter". Trouble is it does not mention which cars have them, only that some countries do have them...
