Can anyone tell me how to remove:
1. the knob cover that controls the angle of the backrest, shown in the photo at the bottom of the side, and
2. the two headrest channels on the top of the backrest?

I need to strip it so that I can eventally get it into the boot of my A3 to get it to the scrap metal dealers, as its taking up half of the garage.
I stripped and saved the useful bits and for future use then stalled with the torque converter but had another look this evening.

I've always thought if I still have it - that when my E55 becomes, well, not worth a lot, I'd consider stripping it out to lighten it and make it noisier (maybe a roll cage type stuff) to satisfy a looming midlife crisis.
