For sale is my 1989 Mercedes 190e 2.5-16 Cosworth Manual in Smoke Silver. This is a really well spec'd car with many optional extras as you can see from the spec sheet, and is a very well known car having been featured in over 9 Magazines to my knowledge. With a huge amount of paperwork and history with only part of that shown in the picture below. Including old MOTs, Tax Disks, Magazine articles, Original booklets, manuals and loads of other paperwork - as well as a few trophies it's won over the years.
I have owned this car for a little under a year, with the previous owner (good friends of mine) owning it since roughly 2002 but they knew the car since well before that, the story is documented in the Mercedes Enthusiast article from a couple of years ago. Prior to mine and their ownership it was owned by a family member of theirs, and prior to that by an older gentleman who took great care of it and also garaged it away. The car is very well looked after, it is serviced every 8 months or less although it only does 500 miles or less a year. The mileage is 126,600 which is fairly low for the age of the vehicle.
The car currently has genuine 16" AMG Penta alloy wheels and is lowered on Eibach springs and Bilstein shocks. The SLS lines have been kept installed, so if anyone wished to turn the car back to factory spec it wouldn't take much work at all. I also have the original exhaust as well as the currently fitted period Remus unit.
Aside from all of that, the car is a true survivor, it has NEVER been welded or restored, which is becoming rare for these 190s. There isn't a single bit of rust present, on the bodywork or underneath. Being an unrestored car with all original paintwork, there are age related marks, that would look at home on a 5-10 year old car, not 29!! The car is very very presentable and in very good condition thanks to the care it's had in our and previous ownership.
Asking price is £21,995. Please no silly offers, 2.5's with this history are becoming impossible to find!
