I had problem with the Rear SAM (usual water damage) also the alarm was going off randomly and not making any sound just indicators flashing, I replaced the rear SAM coded it all and replaced the ALARM siren , since coding the rear SAM the alarm now doesn’t work at all, it’s a genuine ATA alarm siren from Mercedes (located at the NSF under the pollen filter housing) the battery had leaked on to the circuit board, the usual issue, but I still can’t get the alarm to work , I have tried coding it in the rear sam as you are meant to but still isn’t working , the fuse is ok for the alarm, i dont know why it not working as before I replaced the rear SAM it was going off just with no sound but the indicators still flashed, so the wiring and fuse I would of expected to be ok , has anyone had this issue before or am I missing something. (I choose Great Britain for the alarm type it appears to have taken the coding) but still nothing.
Any ideas or suggestions greatly appreciated , I am new on the forum and I’ve worked on Mercedes for 20 years but my first 11 was on truck and vans so I’m not as familiar with the older Mercedes especially ML’s.
