Can someone help with how access into the "front under load compartment floor" storage area is supposed to work. This is the area under item 10 in the picture below and where the tray 50 can be found. I could hear this tray 50 rattling around under the floor section 10 but although this is clearly loose I just couldn't lift it up until after using a trim removal tool to take out parts 100 and 70 which firmly surround the tie down loops and seemingly prevent access. I am clearly missing something as you are obviously meant to be able to used this storage space and tray but it seems totally impossible with these trim items in place!

The owners manual that came with the car is totally silent on how this should work. Any clues?

Ok so today I have done a bit more digging around in WIS and found the instructions for removing this section of the load compartment floor. It would appear that access to this area was never expected to be for the vehicle owner hence why it does not appear in the owners manual. The WIS page (attached) clearly shows needing to remove the load securing hooks to gain access. I can only assume that in this space (on some models at least) modules associated with less common build options are installed. But I am still puzzled why in my case the area is completely empty save for the removeable tray 50 which serves no purpose other than to cause a rattle! If I want to use this space on a regular basis I think I'll need to make some bespoke mods. Not sure if it actually worthwhile so will probably just remove the redundant tray 50.
