2014 c63 Pump Noise when starting

Hello Everyone,

Just a quick question, I bought my 2014 c63 6 months ago and have loved it.

When starting the car I can hear a loud pump noise coming from the engine bay and runs for around 20 seconds and then spools down its quite high pitched .

I cant hear it start back up again while driving but just wondered if anyone knew what it was what it was. I can try and take a video if needed.

It's probably the secondary air injection pump.

Thanks for the reply, Just wondered what it was, found a youtube video of a person replacing one explaining what it does.
