2014 E220 Gearbox

I have a temperament gearbox that only occasionally holds the gears way too long upto 5th but then will not engage 6th or 7th and also won’t select manual until do a reset , I took it to gearbox centre who said it’s the DPF that’s blocked and they cleared the codes but couldn’t fix the dpf so it’s now in a garage that they can’t find the fault because gearbox centre cleared the codes and the current garage are saying it’s needing oil and filter but in my opinion it’s electrical,,, cannanyone give advice

You need it on a STAR code reader at a MB specialist or main dealer. Going to a garage without that is asking for trouble as they'll essentially be guessing like they were diagnosing an old Ford Granada
