Hello everyone I have a 2014 S63L W222 and recently I have noticed a werid werring noise which comes when the car is moving and is intermittent and doesn't do it when revving the car when stationary. The sound sounds like it's coming from the front passenger side dash area. I have had the car at mercedes main dealer and they have said they think it is the valve block in the rear differential. They have carried out a bleeding process on the rear differential which includes bleeding the diff then driving the car and repeat 5 times but it has made no difference to the noise. Only thing next for them to do is to replace the valve block. Any input and options is greatly welcomed. I'll attach a link to a video I have taken of the noise.
Thanks everyone

First thing that comes to my mind is the Pulsation Damper, which makes noise as you accelerate.
I’ve also had this issue in the past and that noise seems more likely to be pulsation damper. It’s the easiest thing to check first to be honest. And also get any specialist or Mercedes to check gearbox oil level.

Mercedes initially never figured it out themselves it was thanks to the people on this forum that told me to inform Mercedes to check my gearbox oil lol. Mercedes even went as far as telling me my turbo had gone lol.

Thank you for your reply, I'll get on the phone first thing tomorrow morning to mercedes see what they say

It's definitely the Pulsation Damper as stated.

I had to tell MB Tonbridge what it was once too.

Can't believe for such a common-failing item they don't know what it is.

Thank you John, it's so annoying when you have to go else where to get help when main dealer should know straight away..
