Hi all..... I picked up my new 2019 (facelift) C63S on Saturday and am absolutely loving it! I do have a question on default settings at start up though:

I believe pre-facelift cars would have a short-term memory on setting such as drive mode and exhaust, but this was removed for the facelift (WLTP to blame?). Has there been a way identified to change this and enable the last drive mode / settings to be restored on start up?

Thanks, Mark

It should remember the last settings for up to 4 hours still?

It may be that WLTP has taken that away, and possibly the reason for the addition of the 'emotion start up' function.

Nope, it's gone :( At restart (even immediate), it's back to default Comfort mode..... I tried the "Emotion" start, but that didn't work either (will try again later). Kinda hoping someone has found a way around it - my wife had a new Audi TTS and that used to remember it's last drive setting days later if not used, which was very nice, shame if there's no way to get this on the new C63S.

Unfortunately this feature has been removed, below the response I got from the dealer when I queried it.

But the new steering wheel buttons do help. Configure the Individual option to whatever suits you and you can just press it to switch to Individual mode, no need to turn it.

On balance the face lift improvements are significant, I personally have got used to it.

Polar bears 1 - AMG 0, this time.

Additional changes to C 63 and C 63 S due to new regulations, effective from November Dek 2 production

  • The last driving mode is no longer remembered, vehicles will now always start in Comfort mode
  • Vehicles now have a quieter starting sound, the louder start is made possible by pulling the shift paddles during start up
