I wonder where this has been for the last 20 years?

Yes, it's expensive, but what a machine :thumb:.

Honda VFR 750 R-K RC30 ***NEW UN-USED*** | eBay

For those who don't know what this is, it's a handbuilt trackbike for the road that was one of the most successful homologation specials ever made - a true motorcycling icon.

In 1992 they retailed at about £12K whereas standard 750's were about £5K.

Look at the engineering around the rear single side swing arm - revolutionary in it's day (quite literally).

Mind you, it would need some work - 20 years is a long time standing.

I had the game for the Atari ST. First ever computer game with a tilting horizon. Revolutionary indeed!

If I had £40k burning a hole in my pocket that would be sat in my garage next week. I remember seeing one at the bike show back in the day and it is still as stunning to me 20 years later.

Me too.

Me three....

I'll think i'll hang on to my SP :D

Some of his prices are steep, some of it is dream world.

Watercooled GSXR11 (so not a desireable classic) with 40k on the clock is never worth £4k, I don't care how damn clean it is. He's even got an 1100K going to less money :dk:

£10k for an XS11 is even more deluded...they were sh*t when they were new. 34 years will not have improved matters.

I'd be worried about riding that before it's had the once over from a RC30 expert, bikes don't like being sat around idle. That said it's stunning but will probably end up as a trophy rather than getting any use.

The RC 30 was a fantastic bike , that would be some machine to own . I friend of mine owns a bike shop . He has a RC30 and RC45 , both are in his house . The RC30 is a full HRC bike and was used in the 1988 japan grand prix as a pace bike then sat in a garage at the track untill my friend bought it a few years ago . It has full Kevlar HRc bodywork and only a handful of kms on the clock .
