A160 W169 2009 Central Locking Issue - Will only lock after 15mins, after engine start

Hi there, I have a central locking issue where the central locking will not lock/unlock after the engine has run. If I wait 15mins or so, hey presto it works again. The batteries have been replaced in the key fob and fuses have been checked. The car did have a bump recently and this issue has started occuring after, so could be related. Hope someone can offer some insight into the issue.

Try charging up the batteries on the car ..just an idea ,,items fail to operate on low power
