AC only working in low temperature setting

Hi i noticed today my AC for cold is only operating when i have it set to "low" if i go one tempreture above to 17 degree Celsius, it starts going warm again.

Please advise what is the possible problems?

Do you think that telling us the model of car, age, service history etc may help?
