Activated carbon cabin air filter

I have a c200 w203 2006 saloon and I am having trouble finding the two carbon air filters, if it has any.
On a right hand drive car are the filters under the steering column? On left hand drive they are under the glove box, but mine certainly has none there. The automatic a/c is two zone and two temperature controls.

AFAIR my W203 (2005) only had the filter above the battery in the engine compartment.

But if yours does have the carbon filters they would be behind the glove box, see here

I thought only the "Thermotronic A/C systems had carbon filters? They would be under the glove box regardless of left hand / right hand drive.

My 2003 W203had the cabin filter as in the post above.

If buying non-MB part, note that for an RHD car you need to specify an RHD filter.

(On LHD cars, the fliter is on the other side and the external shape is a mirror image. )

My 2006 C55 AMG S203 has the paper element above the battery. Cheap and easy to replace ...5 minute job, no tools needed.
