Sorry if a basic question - how to measure on a W212 (E350 W212026).

Not sure but on glc in service menu on screen I can scroll to my adblue also it automatically would come up if low.
But I am sure someone knows better than me should be able to advise for your model.

On my S213, the service menu on the screen only shows the AdBlue range remaining, it does not show how much is in the tank. On the W212, I don't think there is any way to measure the level - not according to a note in the comments made on this YouTube video for the W212

The voice over is in English not Albanian but he only shows how to fill up the tank in the boot!

My indie topped up my AdBlue 4 weeks ago when the car was serviced - he used 15 litres and charged me £1.20 per litre plus VAT. The last time it was topped up was 8500 miles ago.

My e350 only shows not full. Id only ever put 5 litres in , in any 1 year , if you need more , add it when it asks.

The last time it gave me a low message, it was topped up. Two weeks later NOx sensor failures.

I cannot find a way to ascertain current level in any of the menus. Even with a lollipop stick - guessing at high/low levels.

Really do wonder how many more pennies it would have cost MB to design/buy a graduated dipstick as an integral part of the cap itself.

On the S213 at least, the Mercedes Me app shows the percentage remaining in the Service menu. The display in the car itself seems to be wildly pessimistic.

The Adblue tank on W212 looks very much like the one on my car (which doesn't have a level guage either).

I just use a very clean piece of dowel to measure the depth of Adblue in the tank: 78mm = about full, 12mm = I can add 20 liters.

Tie a washer on to an absorbent string and dip it

Thanks. Used the dowel-dipstick approach. Kind (Tode) member helped educate upon graduation numbers.

Last time that I had to tie something motoring related to a piece of string................a magnet....................as had to "fish" my car keys out of a drain at 05:30 in the morning.
