My old CLS luckily had the iPod kit so I had the luxury of the tune2air system for Bluetooth connection with track names etc. I have a new-to-me S211 and couldn't live without bluetooth streaming. It does have aux-in in the glove box (don't know if this is standard) so tried an adapter for that for a while, but the quality isn't great and you have to turn it on every journey.

I did some googling for a solution and found this: bluetooth 5.0 AUX Input Audio Cable Adapter for Mercedes CLC SLK SL 2008 Comand NTG 2.5 Car Audio & Monitor from Automobiles & Motorcycles on banggood.com
I have had good success with stuff from Banggood but it does come from china so will take some time to arrive. I didn't expect much from this thing but I can confirm it works!

Here it is:

Find a youtube tutorial on getting out the COMAND unit (pretty easy, requires T20 drive) e.g. this one:

Find the large harness connector on the right side of the unit and unplug it. On my car there is a connector in the harness I had to remove that ran to the aux-in port. Pic below shows that removed. IMG_20200826_111601.jpg
Then plug the BT unit into the harness, and reconnect it to the COMAND unit. There is plenty of space behind/below the unit to hide the BT module, just shove it in there. I wired switched 12v from the cigar lighter and put everything back together. Switch on ignition, fire up your phone and find the new bluetooth device available to pair to, switch your unit to aux and enjoy the sounds!

Nice one - a link to the helpful youtube video would be great!

Is the track information displayed on the COMAND screen and on the dash display?

No it's not a fancy system, basically bluetooth module with a compatible aux connector on the end so you wont get track listings. This isn't a big loss tbh - I had it on my CLS and the display is so small it cuts off most of the track names. Only thing it misses is being able to skip tracks from the wheel. I use android auto on my phone anyway so pretty good setup with this.

My car has a Dension unit and the 30 pin cable has been routed under the centre console. With that I plug in a lightning cable adapter and plug it into my phone.

I 'now' know this as it has suffered a failure, with audio only coming from one side of the car and will have to engage a specialist to resolve it.

Hallo my dear friend.
I know is old threads but i have same command unit ntg2.5 and bluetooth adapter i will attach picture. But when i plug in and put on aux i don't have any sound.
I want to now if you remember which pins is for aux on ntg2.5 for your adapter ?
And how many wires you're adapter have?
Thank you. All the best.
