Advice on S320 .

Hi guys ,
After being quite an audi fan for a couple years by now. , i've somehow decided to go rogue and join the dark side (MB) .
At the moment i have an A6 2.7 58 plate and it has been the most reliable car that i ever had in my life. In about a years time i only changed a light bulb ( beside normal servicing) .
Now i heard a couple of horror stories regarding the s320 ( gearbox problems,electrical etc) and i would like to know from you guys are theese cars really that bad?!
I mean they look awesome and i'm sure my customers will love them( i work as a chauffer) .
I found an 08 one s320 with 113k miles on the clock and the spoke with the guy (seems genuine ) .I will go and see it tomorrow but what should i look at?
Certain noises that might show any probs or what should i check for?!

I had a look at the thread , unfortunately it doesn't really offer the comprehensive response that i was expecting , but i guess i'll just have to hope that i'm lucky and i don't pick up a lemon .
