The car has been running great until I stopped after about a 10 mile run. I went to restart the car the engine management light came on..(which it had done previously and I went to clear the fault via code reader. This time it wouldn't clear). The car started fine and runs fine on idle, however, it wont accelerate at all. It also came up with another odd fault (on the display, not as a fault code) which was Check Engine Oil and take to Garage. I check the oil an a weekly basis (the car uses very little oil although its done 240k and regularly serviced and its not leaking any oil). There were four codes (as far as I can recall, the car is with my mechanic at present) two relating to Throttle Position sensors and I just can recall the other or cant post them at present as I don't wish to bother him. Has anybody had a similar problem...I'm really stuck at presnt as I need the car. Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated.

It's with a garage so hopefully they will be will be able to resolve things

Hopefully they have a code reader that can read specific MB codes as the OBD readers are only showing generic codes. Often one code is a pointer to another fault etc

Ideally the faults needs to be read by someone with Star and who knows how to interpret those codes.

There was a thread last week or so where a poster had a throttle position sensor code, replaced the actuator and all groovy.

Ok, great. I'm hoping to get some news off the guy who is looking at it for me later today. I will mention that to him. Thanks

Im waiting on a reply from the guy looking at it for me; dont wish to be a nuisance phoning him all the time. Ive found a Garage in Essex:

If the advice from another Poster M80 is correct it could be the answer, however, they need all the fault codes off my Mechanic so Ive passed him the above link to talk with them directly.
