- 2008 Sprinter 4x4 ex-minibus now a campervan, 2010 E350 CDI Blueefficiency Sport Estate
Had my 2010 E350 CDI estate now for a couple of months and its the best car I've ever had. Took it to a dealer to have the thermostat changed as it was running cold. The mechanic noted that the turbo inlet seal was dripping oil and needed changing so I got to work and look what I found.
Am I a lucky boy or what? How bits if this didn't find their way into the turbo and engine I don't know. Running absolutely perfectly but with a ticking timebomb in its midst. Anyhow £25 later and a bit more knowledgeable I'm as happy as Larry. Mechanic also said that the vacuum pipes were beginning to crack. Is it OK to replace with silicone and where are they?
