Had my 2010 E350 CDI estate now for a couple of months and its the best car I've ever had. Took it to a dealer to have the thermostat changed as it was running cold. The mechanic noted that the turbo inlet seal was dripping oil and needed changing so I got to work and look what I found.IMG_20250404_120902_776.jpg

Am I a lucky boy or what? How bits if this didn't find their way into the turbo and engine I don't know. Running absolutely perfectly but with a ticking timebomb in its midst. Anyhow £25 later and a bit more knowledgeable I'm as happy as Larry. Mechanic also said that the vacuum pipes were beginning to crack. Is it OK to replace with silicone and where are they?

The gods of all things Turbo were certainly looking after you! Great spot ......
