Today received a penalty charge notice for parking violation...:confused:
Picture of car included- a Jaguar with a V in the registration. :fail
My car is a MB with a U in the corresponding place.:dk:

Incredible that they can not get something so simple correct:doh: :wallbash:

I had a similar thing with a parking on zig zags fine. The car in the photo was a Porsche 911 with a Y where my car has the letter X. Should have gone to Specsavers

Perhaps a case of 'My other car is a Porsche' ? :)

I got my first of two speeding tickets 20 years ago.

I was speaking to a cop in the local not long after and he reckoned because my car was 'Opal Manta' on the ticket, I could effectively get off as it wasn't my car.

I didn't bother as it was £40 and 3 points then but I never really knew if this was true or not.

Last year I appealed against a parking ticket, and the ticket was indeed cancelled.. but not for the reason I stated in my appeal.

The Council wrote to me to say that they have decided to cancel the ticket because the registration mark noted by the traffic warden on the PCN was not the same as that of my car. Indeed, it was one letter out - I didn't even notice it until the Council drew my attention to it.

Which is odd, because they attached a photo clearly showing my car any correct number plate, and I never challenged the fact that it was my car... just that I thought the ticket was unjustified in the circumstances.

Still, can't complain... :D
