AMG kitted W124

Hang on a mo... deep within his standard flowery write-up is something a bit fishy:

"I bought it, not as one of our stock cars, but for my wife, on the 15/04/10 as this is the exact car and specification she had always wanted, hence why I have gone even further than usual in ensuring it's totally immaculate condition."

This is rather familiar, because it's the same 'bought if for wife, but she doesn't want it' story that he span when I bought another of his Ebay cars. And that was an almost identical '93 W124 280E (my midnight blue one) - just 1 year ago! :o

And I can say for sure that his or his MB specialist's skills aren't that good. Despite the same 'impeccable' write-up, mine had two broken front springs and constant (and VERY intrusive) wind noise at all speeds over 30mph because of a poorly fitted windscreen trim.

I HATE this guy's ads.

He's a baffle them with BS artist.

Its on an L plate , how is that dateless or timeless ,cant remember which term he used now. If its the exact spec his wife wanted then she obviously doesn't like air con. Having said that i quite like the look of it.

Wotta git

The optimum word being -- was, because Ive got one :)

Nothing really special, apart from the kit.

The kit is mix and match + those missing fogs don`t grow on trees ;)

I think he was the guy who bought my first w124 coupe, who was desperate for service history to confirm its 66k miles. Not an asian bloke is he?

Shame that in all that total b*ll*cks, he has put it down as a 1992 car. Thought an L plate was '93/94???? Some knowledgeable dealer.............

Dash, early facelifted W124's (ie: star on bonnet & not the grill) which are likely to be of 1993/1994 vintage like this one, and that were specified with a AMG bodykit are likely to have a Gen2 front spoiler to go with the new facelifted front-end AND a Gen1 rear spoiler....

1995 onwards, the Gen2 rear spoiler seems to have been introduced to go with the front spoiler and thus make a full Gen2 kittd car.

PS: Remember Akash's casserite coupe that had Gen1 rear spoiler & Gen2 front-end?..... It also seemed 100% correct as it was on a L-Reg iirc.

Nice looking honest car, just needs some AMG II alloys on it and it'll look pretty clean.
