Hi

I’ve just seen this, which may be of interest to those with ABC hydraulic systems

Now the only issue I have is wondering if those jubilee clips are going to withstand the pressure in the system?

I wonder if Pirtek have a filter you could install for extra peace of mind?

These >> Edelmann 70700 Power Steering System Filter | eBay if the hose barbs are suitably sized should work.
Install in (low pressure) return line(s) and buy better Jubillee clips - those supplied aren't great quality.

The ad states it is fitted on the return line . It would have to be , even with swaged hydraulic connectors this unit would simply explode on start up if it were fitted o the High pressure side.

Go to Legitstreetcars.com Alex had SERIOUS issues with the ABC on his V12 , it wasn't metal debris in the system ...it was rubber.

''Edelmann's Power Steering System filter will filter out the metal particles and rubber flakes which naturally occur in power steering systems.''

Why spend £100 on a more complicated (thus failure prone) filter when £5 buys all the protection needed?
I've had them on my PAS and HydroBoost for a couple of years now - zero problems.

Also, something to note. A lot of the components are aluminimun and a the return already goes into a fine filter which is likely to catch nearly all debris.
