Another Query - Horn sounding when locking car

Since I got the car back from Merc after its 3-year service, every time i lock the car, either using the key fob or by putting a thumb on the door handle the horn beeps once. It wasn't doing this before the service, so wondered if others have this as its so annoying and i want to turn it off

You can turn it on or off in the dash menu, mine was on and I hated it!

Yep go to the vehicle settings and it’s somewhere there

Audible lock is the setting in "Vehicle": Settings>Vehicle>Audible Lock

I only get Time, 360-degree camera and information. I can't seem to access any other settings in Vehicle??

I too hate the 'horn beep' feature I have had it on various hire cars I have had recently and I always find time to search how to switch it off. Such a pointless option while being massively annoying at the same time.

I think you may be looking at the COMAND screen rather than the instrument cluster?

With the ignition on, press the left or right arrow buttons on the left of the steering wheel and scroll to the Settings menu in the speedo display.

Now use the up and down arrows to scroll to the Vehicle sub-menu, and press OK to confirm.

Then use the up and down arrows to select Acoustic Lock.

Follow the instructions to switch it off.

Use the "Return" button on the steering wheel to exit the menu system.

As above, should be < > to find settings > Vehicle> OK> ^ to Acoustic Lock, ^ to change setting /Lock icon, then OK to save...

I found it. Like a dunda, I was looking for this on the media screen, rather than the Dash display in center speedo!!!
