Anyone know what this symbol means?

Hi all. I have just bought a c220 and have discovered this symbol in the ashtray. Can anyone help me with what it's is I can't find it in the manual. It's a symbol of a key with three lines around it like a WiFi signal kinda. It won't let me upload a pic of it.

Is it where you need to put the key to get the car to start if the battery in the key is flat? My car certainly has such a system so that the car can passively interrogate the key if it is unable to actively respond because its battery is flat....
