Anyone near Wembley who could look at an S210 E320cdi for me???

Just wondering if anyone near Wembley could go and have a quick butchers at an S210 E320cdi for me?

I tried to get down there a couple of times this week but ran out of time, would pop down Tuesday if it looked any good.
But if someone is near maybe they could have a quick look and let me know if it is worth a closer look or a complete dog?

It is next to North Wembley tube station.

More than I want to spend.
I know he has a great one, that needs for nothing, but if I am going to spend that much I might as well contract hire a new E220cdi for 3 years.

I really want to spend about £2500 if buying a 12 year old car.
If it last me 2 years and I get a grand back with a budget of £500 a year for maintaining it, then it is still pretty cheap motoring.

I have also been offered a 55 plate e270cdi with 170k miles on it for £4k.
I know the owner and again that car wants for nothing too.
Could be a nice buy.


Other option is an 11 plate V70 diesel geartronic for £16k, which I know is going in a completely different direction, but would be a good buy.

Had a new 530d sport touring the other day though, and it felt so much better than the 10 plate one we had, just felt.....more BMW again.
Was offered a 6000 mile one with all the toys, £52k list for £31k.
Again tempting, but getting away from the point.

That E270 sounds a good idea. The thing I think you'll struggle with is it's roughly 100bhp less than your V6 CDi with the Brabus chip on.

Is it an E-Class size car that you need, or can you go for something bigger/smaller?

I'm not that worried about the power really, I found I wafted in the Merc most of time anyway.

I do really need something the size of the E, I need a van really, but don't actually want a van.

I keep looking at the deals on the C250cdi sport estate, and they are very tempting, but if it does turn out too small it will be a real pain.

No, Jim who bought it off me wanted it with the Brabus box on.
In fact all the enquiries I had I think it was the Brabus that caught their eye and made it stand out.

If I was still in UK I'd happily go and take a look for you as my Dad lives very close to there, but I'm in Russia for a couple more weeks... If you find any more in that area later in the month I'll gladly look for you.
