Apple play & Sat Nav

Hi all
Have just taken delivery of my A class AMG Line A160.
Question
I have Apple play and it’s great as I use Spotify.
When using Apple play and clicking sat nav it goes to it goes to Apple maps and not the garmin map pilot is there anyway I can use Apple play and the proper sat nav.

Yes, if you install Waze on your iPhone, you can then access it on Apple CarPlay (touch the 'menu' icon and it will show you a list of additional apps).

I think you might have miss understood me.
I want to use Apple play and the inbuilt sat nav, sat nav works if I unplug Apple play.
If I plug it back in I get Apple maps. I don’t want Apple maps when I use Apple play I want the garmin one. Cheers

I have Apple CarPlay on my other car (not MB), the infotainment system has a HOME button which when pressed brings back the original system (with the iPhone still playing music in the background).

My W204 does not have Apple CarPlay, but have you tried pressing the NAVI button while the iPhone is connected and the Apple CarPlay is on?

I have a mercedes ‘app’ available from within car play which basically takes me back to the MB menu and options. Might be worth checking to see if the same and if you can select the navigation option from there?
Would be slightly annoying if not but otherwise theres bluetooth audio streaming but again annoying if you want to change your music easily.
