anyone know how to remove the fascia panel on a 209 to get to the screws holding the radio in.

Have already removed heater vents looking for secret screws but can't see anything.

thanks

you need a special tool that slots in at the side of the panel to release it it then just slips out.

Getting said tool can be tricky. I fluttered my eyelashes at my dealership and got them to take mine out for me ;)

Nah , its not that simple on a 209 im afraid ...

Im not 100% sure of the screw positions on it.

Hu's on 203's and 209's are screwed in and don't use removal tools, you get to the 203 screws through the vents.

Can the radio work without an aerial connection as the rear window aerial is connected to my phone kit and can't see any splices/joints

You don't need to get through the air vents on a 209 as they are different from the 203. Just remove the ashtray and ally centre console cover and the screws are there. Quick and easy job

thanks all, sussed it now, the sequence is

gear shift cover plate off
ashtray out
screws visible in ashtray void holding fascia
remove fascia to reveal screws holding radio

cheers
