Hi guys,

2023 119 with 12k miles and the last couple of days it has been slow on initial start.

And maybe a coincidence, but I am also struggling to connect via Mercedes Me app as well.

Are the batteries covered under warranty?

I find it hard to believe that I would be replacing it already!

Surely the car came with the manufacturer 3 year warranty?

It would be very unusual to fail at such a young age. If it does lots of short journeys with heater, radio, lights, etc on then you may just be taking more out of the battery than you’re putting in.

The dealer can perform a test for you, and can charge it if necessary. Personally I’d buy a battery maintainer to periodically top up for vehicles which aren’t used regularly, or mainly do short journeys.

If the battery voltage gets very low then non-critical systems are disabled - perhaps the comma module used by Mercedes Me to connect to the Internet is considered to be a non-critical seystem.

Thanks everyone.

Yes it is certainly still under three years old, but i think some manufacturers dont warrant the battery?

Not sure tbh!

Thanks.

Interestingly, i also had a low coolant warning the other morning and had to top it up so i was going to book it in to get that looked at anyway in case there was a leak somewhere so i'll add this for them to look at.
