Hi
I've search and read lots without getting to the fix for my problem. Apologies for new thread on this but all the others I read simply don't get me to the nub of the problem.
I have a 2002 clk 200 convertible. The heating blower is not working. No airflow whatsoever. I have
Removed blower motor - connected to a battery and it springs to life so it's not that and not the brushes
Replaced the resistor (metal controller that connects to the motor)
Replaced controller unit on dash with used unit of car that was working (that was written off in accident)
Checked fuses in engine bay - think ok
Placed voltmeter on to wires that come from control unit onto resistor pack - can see voltage drop as I turn dials down from 4 to 1... but to be honest when It comes to volt meters i don't have a clue what I'm doing and what i should expect reading to be at each setting)
Still nothing.
Anyone come across comprehensive fault diagnostic instructions or have a view what the issue might be. Most of the advice I read surrounds blower/bushes and the resistor/regulator pack... but it isn't these..
I started on this issue about a year ago but ended up giving up. Note car is sorn so can't pop it into a garage -which is an expense I wish to avoid.
Help.....
