Has anyone retrofitted one of these to a preface lift w211?

Considering the mod myself at the moment.

I tried fitting one in my CLK, but the mounting points aren't there so it didn't really work. - I quite liked the idea, just to stop bags falling over (rather than putting the net over them when they've got something delicate inside).

I bought one to retrofit, but didn't get round to making the two square holes that were needed for the mounting points. Good thing too as I fitted it in my new one!

it will fit, drill 2 x 6mm holes at the correct spacing and then use a small file to square them off, it will then slot in

Or if that is too much effort, do what I did. Remove the square plugs and use a couple of short self tappers.
Fitted to my C63 boot. Drilled 3mm pilot holes at the correct spacing then just screwed into the metal.
Seems strong enough. Again thanks to Alps as I didn't even know this hook existed :)

Simples...always the best way.
