Boot shelf clip

One of the clips that holds the boot shelf has fallen out. And struggling to find a replacement. Does anyone happen to know the part code?

It’s the clip that goes into the recess on the boot and holds the hinges of the shelf. Pictures attached

Enter you vin and have a look through various sections - it will likely be in one of them. I had a brief look but didn’t really know where the broken part should be on the car.

Alternatively I would just go to a parts counter at MB - my parts counter will happily give me part numbers (be aware lots won’t) but for a small plastic clip like that it’s hardly going to be expensive to get an OEM one.

There is a risk you may have to get a whole new parcel shelf if the clips are attached to it and have no individual part number - and you can’t find them on partsouq. There may be aftermarket options available if this is he case though as it seems to be a common issue with A class parcel shelf clips breaking. Sorry not to be more help

I found that often plastic clips are in a separate section on EPC - it's not an easy system to navigate.

Yes agreed - sometimes best just to ask at a MB parts counter.

So for anyone else who needs to know.

You can’t buy the clip separate, it comes with the whole boot trim. I found a boot trim for a tenner on eBay which has the clip with it, so I’m sorted now. The part number is

MERCEDES-BENZ A CLASS W177 REAR LEFT BOOT COVER TRIM GENUINE A1776900400

Either left or right will do as the clip is the same
