Bootlip Spoiler

I have been tidying the paintwork etc on my car, C class W202 2000, and was thinking about freshening it's look with maybe a new chrome grille insert and a boot spoiler. I like the look of the small lip spoilers that I have seen for sale. Has anyone any experience/ photos of them when fitted. I have only been able to find them for sale in Germany on ebay and the pictures don't give much idea of what they look like when fitted. The bootlid itself has a slight raised edge to it and I was wondering how the spoiler looks with this kind of lid. Any suppliers in this country where I could pick up both of these items? I have only been able to find them in Germany.
Many thanks.

This was a Ebay purchase that was sold painted to factory color match.
Shown on my wife's 1999 C43.
I hope this helps !

The suspension seems quite high on the C43

Looks like standard USA spec to me!

IMHO a boot spoiler or lip should be at the absolute trailing edge of the lid, if not then it looks stupid.

Thanks for the photo. It is helpful, that is just the kind of thing I had in mind, very tasteful and not too over the top. It looks great on your/wife's car. I think I will order one up.
Many thanks.

If you look again it is at the trailing edge of the lid.
The W202 lid begins to curve at the edge of the lip.
In fact the Mercedes 3 Pointed Star is curved at the top to follow the contour of the boot lid.

To move rearward would mean mounting on a curve and touching the top of the Merc emblem.

Yes, standard USA spec AMG C43 suspension. :thumb:

personally, dont think the 202 needs any type of spoiler, c43`s bootlid especially

Mine also has this boot lip, I like it....

Gina- What size are those wheels? Was thinking of going for 18's on mine but unsure as to whether they'd scrub? ( sorry to go off topic )
